Bowers Rites
Funeral services for Mrs. D.C. (Eleanora) Bowers, 64 of Garland, will be held Sunday at the Seydler-Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Harwood City cemetery.
Mrs. Bowers died Thursday in Garland. She was born Feb. 4, 1918 in Gonzales, the daughter of Joe and Christine Havelka Machicek. She married Daniel C. Bowers on May 3 1939 in Gonzales.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter Mrs. Tommy (Peggy) Lawallen of Elmo, Tx.; two brothers, Joe and Frank Machicek both of Gonzales; five sisters Mrs. Joe Kotwig, Mrs. Robert DuBose, Mrs. Edward Peterek, and Mrs. Frank Zavadil. all of Gonzales and Mrs. Eugene Heneley of Dodd City, Tx.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons Billy and Danny.
