Carole Jean Burks Jones went to be with her precious Lord and Savior on Oct 14, 2004 at the age of 73 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Krebs, OK on July 5, 1931 to Thurman and Loraine Burks, raised in Stigler, OK. Preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother Wayne Burks. Survived by her husband, Marvin, her loving and devoted brother, David Burks, wife Darla, and their sons Drew and Jeff of Edmond, John of OKC. Mrs. Wayne (Eleanor Ann) Burks their children: Edwin Burks, Kaye Johnson of Moore; Marvin Burks of OKC, and other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews. Our sweet, precious, Carole had a million dollar smile, a heart of gold, a passion for life that continues to inspire others. She was a caring, loving, person with strengths many never knew. Her faith, family and friends were most important to her in life; always giving more than she received. You were never too old for a hug and kiss from Carole; we will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made in Carole's name to Alzheimer's Association. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Arlington Memory Gardens.
