Ileen F. Booth, age 92, of Kinde, MI, formerly of Michigan City, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Huron Medical Center, Bad Axe, MI after a short illness. Services will be held Saturday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home, with Rev. Marchie Miyashiro-Sims officiating. Visitation will be From 11 a.m. until the service at the funeral home. Entombment will take place Monday, April 27 at 9:00 a.m. in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City.
Mrs. Booth was born April 10, 1917 in East Chicago, IN to John and Mabel (Schuberg) McPherson, both of whom preceded her in death. On August 14, 1937, in Michigan City, she married Paul Booth, he preceded her in death in 1989.
Survivors include her son Jim (Linda) Booth of Port Austin, MI, daughter-in-law Dell Booth of Bramley, Ontario, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, sisters Alice Cochran and Mildred Butler, both of Michigan City, and Helen Jacobs of New Buffalo, MI. She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Booth, grandson Michael Booth, 1 sister and 3 brothers.
Mrs. Booth had been a homemaker. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
