Liz Baldwin died 24th April 2009,
after a battle bravely fought, of cancer.

She was a work collegue and friend.

Much loved partner of Phil.

Loving daughter & sister.

She was a Governor at
Thomasd Peacock Community College,
Rye, Sussex.
She took this position very seriously, and whilst she was Chairperson, she championed and was instrumental in obtaining funding for the College staff to train as NVQ
assessors, & to promote VQ & NVQs to other schools.
Liz herself being an experienced NVQ internal verifier and assessor in her job with
the HM Revenue and Customs.
She received a distinction in the
DCSF Award for Governor of the Year.(2008)

She enjoyed serving her local community.
She was a volenteer for the
Rye Emergency Action Community Team (REACT)

I will leave a better tribute, when the shock has passed.

R.I.P. dear friend.

"Dear Liz,
We're all assembled
We've come to honor you
To share sweet recollections
And express our gratitude
You were a great example
Of the best way one can live
Your generous, loving spirit
Was a daily gift you chose to give
And we knew that we were privileged
To know someone so dear
You shared our lives, both the good and bad
Our true friend throughout the years
You took each day and challenge
Exactly as it came
Your spirit remained steadfast
Life couldn't make you change
Quite often we would marvel
At the determination found in you
How much we'll miss your courage
And your fearless attitude!
We know that you'll continue
To be the incredible soul you are
And though we cannot see you
We trust you'll never be far
Because a soul so special
Can never truly go away ..."
