Dan Lott, age 75, pioneer resident of Coffee county, passed away at his home six miles out on the West Green road Wednesday afternoon after an extended illness. Funeral services are to be held at 2 o'clock at Lone Hill Church, with interment in Lone Hill Cemetery. He is survived by five sons, Millard Lott, Warren Lott, Waycross, Dexter D. Lott, Bluefield, W. VA, Tobe Lott, West Green, Leonard Lott, Macon; five daughters, Mrs. McCager Vickers, Mrs. Marvin Kirkland, Douglas; Mrs. Earnest Meeks, West Green; Mrs. M. H. Harrell, Broxton; Mrs. B. S. Royal, Kingsland; two sisters, Mrs. Lundsey Paulk, Ambrose, Mrs. Luke Pridgen, Broxton; three brothers, Dr. J. J. Lott, Elisha Lott, Broxton; Elias Lott, Floyd, Fla.. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild, and a large number of other relatives throughout this section. Mr. Lott had lived in this section of the county all of his life, making a good citizen and neighbor. For the last few years of his life he was crippled but always managed to get about with his friends. He suffered with rheumatism and other special ailments, but up to a few years ago was very energetic. The Douglas Undertaking Co. had charge of the funeral arrangements. . Daniel was the son of Arthur Lott, Sr. [1838-1903] and Elizabeth "Eliza" Carver [1842-1905].
