Mario Ratto, a resident of Marin County for 16 years and a plant worker at Stauffer Chemical Co. in San Francisco for 27 years, died at a local hospital yesterday after a brief illness. He was 76.
Ratto had lived in California for 40 years. He was a World War I veteran and a native of Italy.
He is survived by his wife, Mary.
The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo. Private family funeral will be tomorrow. Burial will be private.
