John Lamiller died at his home 4 miles northeast of Rome City, February 26, 1897, from Bright's disease. He was born in the northern part of France, January 1, 1827 and was 70 years, 1 month and 26 days old at death. He came with his parents to America in 1832. They settled in Stark County, Ohio, where he married Martha Bear in 1849. They moved to Whitley County the next year. They had 10 children, 4 of whom are living, Andrew, Mrs. Asher Smith and Mrs. Forrest Wright of York Twp, and a daughter who lives in Orange Twp. He moved to Noble County in 1866, where his wife died 3 years later. In 1878 he married Clarissa Kleckinger, who survives. Funeral was at Rome City Sunday. Burial, Wright Cemetery. Democrat 3-4-1897
