From Martha's death certificate it states her parents are Patrick Pike and Dolly Wells, and she was born in Virginia. Her second husband was Lewis Allen Nelson, he died on 25 December 1901, in the house of of Mr. W.N. Lightfoot in Stonefort, Illinois. He was buried in Buchart, Douglas County, Missouri.
Martha's funeral was handled by Storme Funeral Home in Herrin, Illinois, and Tillman Russell received $5.00 for making a grave in Creal Springs on 11 December 1934.

Martha is my great-great-grandmother. Her first husband was George F. Connell. They were married in 16 July 1855 in Davidson Co., Tn. Her husband George was killed in the civil war in 1862. Her son George is my great-grandfather who had 7 children. His son William is my grandfather. Daniel Turner was her second husband. Bill Connell

Per marriage record in Johnson County, Illinois, Book 2, Page 147, record #2331, 16th February 1906, she is listed as Martha Nelson Pike, 70 years old, place of birth as Virginia, this was listed as fifth marriage for her, father was Patrick Pike, mothers maiden name as Well. Martha and Green were married in Vienna, Illinois, on the 15th of February 1906, by John S. Bridges J.P.
