Donald Eugene Freehafer was born 18 August 1915 in Huntington County, Indiana. He was a graduate of Central High School in Huntington, Indiana and a 1937 graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. He married Florence Ella Dunkin 27 April 1937 in Indianapolis. He worked for the Pharos-Tribune newspaper in Logansport, Indiana, starting out as a reporter and retired as the city editor in August 1985. He was a long-time Justice of the Peace in Cass County, serving for 25 years. Don was active in the Scottish Rite where he became a 33rd degree Mason. He also was active in Cass County Mental Health. Don died 23 July 2005 in Logansport.
