Donald J. Cooper of Mitchell, IN, died Wednesday, January 13, 2000, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on August 15, 1928, in Mitchell, IN, he was the son of Ralph and Lula (Withers) Cooper.

Surviving are two sisters, Vivian Lewis of Bloomington, IN, and Joan Moore of Dove Canyon, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; one siter, Wilda Clouse; and two brothers, Harold and Kenneth Cooper.

He was a Korean War Army veteran and had worked at Lehigh Portland Cement Co. He was a member of the Mitchell Church of Nazarene, the Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107, Mitchell.

Services for Donald Cooper will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15th, at the Chastain Funeral Home with Bro. Max Timbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Sheeks Cemetery with graveside military rites accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107, Mitchell.
