Nathan BROOKHAUSER was born May 3, 1831 in Saegertown, Crawford County, Pennsylvania to Adam Brookhouser and Mary Stokes. Henry "Nathan" Brookhouser and his first wife was Henrietta Schutt (name later changed to Scott). They apparently moved to Iowa from Penn. in the mid 1800's. I think she died in 1865 and is buried near Missouri Valley. Their children were Henry Alonzo, William Marcellus, Emma Avilla, Allen P. He remarried Emily Shirtliffe 9who married first to a Morris) and moved to what is now Silver City. Their children were Jessie May, Ferris Coridon, Farley Sanborn, and Charles Marion. She had two daughters from her first marriage, Mary A. and Belle. He died March 7, 1882 Silver City, Mills County, Iowa
