Marine Corps Reserve 2nd Lieut. P. B. Abbot (a former USMCR enlisted man [1918-1922]) was designated Naval Aviator #4710 in 1932.

Parker Abbott, along with six others died when the passenger plane of Lincas Arias Occidentales, on a flight from Mazatlan to La Paz, being flown by Abbott, went down at night some 60 miles off the coast after departing Mazatlan.
