Mrs. Adaline Mayfield, wife of Isiriah Mayfield, died in Beverly, Sept. 16, 1888 after an eight month sickness. They built the first log cabin in Beverly Township in March, 1834 and here they raised a large family. She was born in North Carolina in October 1807. She moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri and was married there, moving here as above stated. She joined the Dunkard Church many years ago and Rev.
