Margaret C. Bennett, 82, of Adel, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Langdale Hospice House following a lengthy illness. She was born in Berrien County Georgia on March 26, 1934 to the late Arnie and Bertha Rodgers Cone and has been a resident of this area all her life. She worked in the carpet manufacturing industry for 27 years and had been employed with Shaw Industries in Valdosta. Mrs. Bennett enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Gordon Bennett; her brother, Kenneth Cone and her son-in-law, Mike Pickard.
Services for Margaret C. Bennett will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Corinth Baptist Church with Dr. Henry Cannington officiating. The burial will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
