Harriet was the daughter of Dutch immigrants who met and married a few years after their arrival in America. As a child, she was called "Hattie." The family lived in Iowa and for a short time in Minnesota before coming West and making their home near Lynden in Whatcom County. On March 15, 1929, Harriet married Ed Bull. Harriet and Ed were members of Triumph Lutheran Church in Ferndale. She was survived by her son and his wife and four grandchildren.
