She lived in McLean, VA, and was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Melvin H. Dry, U.S. Navy (Ret.), in 1997, and their son, Lt. Melvin Spence Dry, U.S. Navy.
Survivors include tow sons, James R. Dry, Nairobi, Kenya, and Robert W. Dry, Paris, France; her brother, Herbert Spence, Morecombe, England; six grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, April 15, 2008.
