William Jeffrey Allen, 20 years old, of Battletown, KY, died Tuesday, February 9, 1982 at Ireland Army Hospital, Fort Knox, KY. He was born June 28, 1961 in Breckinridge County, KY, a son of William Randolph Allen & Marcella Bennett Allen. He was an employee of Norstam Veneers, Inc. of Mauckport, IN. Rosary was recited by Father Owen Farrell 7:30 p.m. Friday from the Chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home. He is survived by his parents, William R. Allen, Rhodelia, KY and Mrs. Marcella Bennett Allen of Battletown, KY; five sisters, Mrs. Ronnnie (Terri) Meeks, Miss Cheryl Allen, of the home, both of Battletown, KY, Mrs. Donna Neeley and Miss Denise Allen, both of Louisville, KY, and Mrs. Pete (Monica) Holst of Laramie, WY; four brothers, Lonnie Allen of Brandenburg, KY, Carl Stanley Allen of Bloomington, IL, Nicky Allen and Michael Gene Allen, both of Battletown, KY; and grandmother Mrs. Iva Myrtle Bennett of Louisville, KY. Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 1982 from St. John's Catholic Church with Father Regis Dowd officiating. Interment was in St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery, directed by Jenkins Funeral Home. Pallbearers were William Gerald Slayton, Jr., John Anthony Wolck, James Edward Bennett, Herbert Wardrip, Walter Hack, Jr., and Leroy Humphrey.
