James A. "Jack" Adkisson, 79, Brandenburg, died November 10, 2001, at Norton Audubon Hospital, Louisville. Mr. Adkisson is survived by his wife, Bernadine Barr Adkisson, Brandenburg; 8 children and their spouses, Judy & Ron Glaros, Midland, MI, Peggy & Joe Ram, West Windsor, NJ, Sharon Adkisson, Jeff & Judy Adkisson, all of Brandenburg, Kelly & Alma Adkisson, Mark & Rhonda Adkisson, Lisa Hutchison, Vince & Tracy Adkisson, all of Hardinsburg; 2 brothers, Penny Adkisson and Butch Adkisson, both of Louisville; 26 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held November 13 from St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew J. Glaros, his grandson, and Rev. Robert Abel officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, directed by Hager Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Leukemia Society of America, Kentucky Chapter, or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Kentucky Chapter.
