===============================
Scheil Bermann was born, 22 Sep 1892, in Dubrovista, (Dombrovitza), Lutsk, Volhynia, Russian Empire, (now part of the Ukraine).
At age 12, Scheil leaves his home in Dombrovitza, with his mother, a youthful aunt (his father's younger sister), and three (3) younger brothers, for the trip of 900 miles to their port of departure from the continent.
Sailing the "North German Line" from Bremen, Germany to Baltimore, Maryland, they arrive on 31 May 1906, via the SS MAIN, (3rd class passage).
It is Scheil's father who awaits the arrival of the family in Baltimore. Herschel Bermann had emmigrated from Russia short years before, with a goal of working / saving money to sponsor his family's passage to America.
NOTE: Scheil's (and others) given name are anglicized after immigration, (from yiddish to english).
SCHEIL BERMANN is now known as SIMON BERMAN.
