A. D. Brannan died on November 3, 1898 at his home in Kiowa. He was born on February 13, 1824 in Clermont County, Ohio. He had been a resident of Kansas for many years and had lived at different places in the state. Several years ago he conducted a restaurant in this city and he had lived the past six years in Kiowa. He was an old soldier and a devout Christian, having served three years in Co. F. 91st Illinois and nearly fifty years in the army of the Lord.
