Airman 2nd Class Hodgson perished when U.S.
Air Force KB-29P Superfortress #44-84149
crashed into the Talkeetna mountain range,
about fifty miles northeast of Anchorage,
Alaska, shortly after departing Elmendorf Air
Force Base.
All eight crewmembers aboard were killed
when the aerial refueling tanker struck Bald
Mountain at the 4,200-foot level.
The aircraft was based with the 508th Aerial
Refueling Squadron at Turner Air Force Base,
Albany, Georgia.

A resident of Redwood City, California, age 20.
