Dame. Her father, Richard Lovell Edgeworth [1744-1817] was married four times, and by his wives he was the father of 22 known children. Honora was his daughter by the third wife, Elizabeth Sneyd [1759-1780]. She was her mother's 8th child, her father's 15th child. Honora married Sir Francis Beaufort, after the death of his first wife Alicia M. Wilson Beaufort. Richard Lovell Edgeworth's fourth wife was Frances Anne Beaufort [1769-1865], whom he married on 31 May 1798, at St. Audeon's Church, Dublin. Her younger brother was Admiral Sir Francis Beaufort [1774-1857]. They were the children of Rev. Dr. Daniel Augustus Beaufort [1739-1821] Rector of Collon, Co. Louth, Ireland, and his wife Mary Waller [1739-1831]. Francis Beaufort was therefore a brother-in-law of Richard L. Edgeworth and a posthumous son-in-law. Honora was also a half-sister of the writer Maria Edgeworth. She died aged 67.
