1929-2009

William Earl Cartwright, 79, died unexpectedly at his home Wednesday, April 8, 2009.

He was a life long resident of Cantonment and a member of Cottage Hill Assembly of God.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Cartwright and a brother, Joe Spellar.

Mr. Cartwright was avid gardener, fishermen and outdoorsman.

He survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Esta Mae Cartwright; two sons; Larry Cartwright and Ricky (Lisa) Cartwright; a daughter; Sandra (Freddie) Crow; grandchildren; Melissa (Allen) Black, Michael Scott, April Cartwright, Michelle Morrow, Danielle Cartwright and Whitney Cartwright. Numerous great grandchildren, sisters in law, brothers in law and dear friends. He also leaves behind a special friend Michael Largay.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Faith Chapel North with Pastor Ron McGlothren and Pastor William Davis officiating.

Burial will follow at Cottage Hill Assembly of God Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Josh Johnson, Timmy Talbot, Bruce Lee, Tim Alexander, Terry Capps, Wayne Cartwright and Michael Largay.

Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Jimmy Allen, Ricky Carnley, Dudley Destin, William Johnson and Buford Johnson.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 13, 2009 from 5pm until 8pm at Faith Chapel North-Cantonment.

Faith Chapel North-Cantonment is in charge of arrangements.
