Olive C. Forhan, 85, of 1230 Monitor, long-time area resident, died early Thursday morning in a local nursing home following an extended illness.

Born Olive Rutherford at Elk River, Minn., on May 14, 1892, she later moved to Seattle, where she married William Forhan in November, 1914. They resided in Seattle until 1922 when they moved to Wenatchee.

Mrs. Forhan was a nurses' aid at St. Anthony's Hospital for several years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are four sons, William Forhan, Bremerton, Clinton Forhan, Bellingham, John Forhan, Urbana, Ohio, and Tim Forhan, East Wenatchee; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Grubbs, East Wenatchee, and Mrs. Herb (Virginia) Kinkade, Auburn, one brother, Lance Rutherford, Bellingham; two sisters living on the coast; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Forhan was preceded in death by her husband in 1934.
