Samuel Rose was the son of Samuel and Chloe (Canfield) Rose. He was the husband of Charlotte (McIntyre) Rose. They were married December 24, 1799. Charlotte died January 4, 1851. Samuel was the son of a United Empire Loyalist and therefore received a land grant of 200 acres at Edwardsburgh on the St. Lawrence River. He died at Wolford.
