ANITA MAE HOLLIDAY, 89 ROSCOE - Anita Mae Holliday, 89, of Roscoe died at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, in Morris Health Care and Rehab Center, Morris, after a lengthy illness. Born July 16, 1919, in East Moline, the daughter of Charles and Elma (Minks) Fuller. Lived 60 years in Roscoe, coming here from Rockton. Married Dwight Charles "Whitey" Holliday in Dubuque, Iowa on April 10, 1939. She was employed by Fairbanks Morris in Beloit, Wis. for more than 40 years as an office assistant, arc welder and an inspector in the magnetic department. Anita was a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association. She rode motorcycles with her husband in all 50 states, they rented a Harley in Hawaii, and rode to Alaska three times. They went with the American Racers to the Anglo American Match Race Series Four for England and Italy. They completed the Harley Davidson Corp. ABC's of Touring in the 1980s, participated locally in riding events, went to most Wationa events riding their Harley to them anywhere in the lower 48 states. Anita graduated from Hononegah High School. Survivors include daughters, Rayde (Red) Lewis of Machesney Park, and Reta (Fred) Tyler of Loves Park; son, Raymond C. (Rosie) Holliday of Pecatonica; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grand-children; two great-great-grand-children; and nephew, Roger (Gaille) Holliday of Surprise, Ariz. Predeceased by husband; parents; sisters, Sharley Cox and Baby Girl Fuller; and great-grandson, James Levi Jarvis. Funeral ceremonies at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4, in Mc-Corkle Funeral Home, 767 N. Blackhawk Blvd., Rockton, with the Rev. Tom Kingery, pastor of Rockton United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 3, in the funeral home.
