John H. Mounts died Wednesday morning at his home in Liberty township and was buried Thursday in Union Cemetery. He was 68 years old and was an old settler in Cowley county, having come here in 1874. He had been sick about two years.

John H. Mount died about 12 o'clock last night at his home in Liberty township after an illness lasting two years or longer with a complication of diseases. The funeral will occur at the house tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Wilson officiating and he will be buried in Union cemetery.
The deceased was 68 years old and eight children survive him. His wife died about two years ago. He came to Cowley county in 1874 and bought the claim which has been his home ever since. He was an old soldier and a life long member of the United Brethren church. He was a good citizen in every sense of the word and those who knew him best held him in the highest esteem.
