He recieved his middle name from his grandfather Floyd B. Adkins, his mother Lola's father. He left Sias, West Virginia to go to Cleveland, Ohio after he gratuated high school in May of 1956 just before he turned 18 years old. It was there that he met his wife Annette Johnson and they married April 12, 1969.

BRADY F. WHITTEN, age 70, entered into rest on Friday, April 3, 2009, after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Annette (nee Johnson); son of the late Lola and Roma Whitten. Also loving father of Terri Coyle, Brady R. Whitten, Margie, Paul and Jeff; grandfather of 13 and the late Joshua Coyle; great-grandfather of six; loving brother of Kathleen Fain, Iva Snuffer and Ilene Hampton; uncle and friend to many. Will be missed, but never forgotten. Memorials may be forwarded to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, 44106. Service to be held at the funeral home at 12 noon, Monday, April 6, 2009. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Cleveland. Friends may call at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 4334 PEARL RD., CLEVELAND FROM 10 AM, MONDAY UNTIL THE TIME OF THE SERVICE AT NOON.
