Edna Mae Baker of Bedford, IN, died Tuesday, February 9, 1999, at Westview Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on January 31, 1916, in Anderson, IN, she was the daughter of Homer and Leota (Wellington) Porter. She married Forrest Baker on February 17, 1940, and he died January 29, 1977.

Surviving are one son, William C. Baker of Bedford, IN; three daughters: Patricia Harper of Bloomington, IN, Dorothy Wykoff of Mitchell, IN, and Amy Carol Phillips of Springville, IN; one sister, Betty Jo Ottinger of Fairland, IN; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Judith Ann and Joyce Sue Baker; two sisters, Audrey Frances Porter and Mary Lucille Boyer; and five brothers, Arnold, Eugene, James, Charles, and William Porter.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Kentucky Ridge Baptist Church in Owensburg and Living Word Church.

Services for Edna Baker will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 11th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Kentucky Ridge Cemetery in Owensburg.
