Mr. Jason Brown, 26, of Blackshear, Georgia died Saturday night at Satilla Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Tallahassee, Florida to Victor Brown and Pennye Reid. Jason lived most of his life in Blackshear and Tampa, Florida. He worked as a painter and loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his step-grandfather, Mr. Roy Lovett.
Jason is survived by his father, Victor D. Brown of Blackshear, his mother, Pennye Reid of Tampa, Florida, three sisters, Amanda Brown of Tampa, Kaylee Williams of Tampa, Christina Vick of Hazlehurst, a brother, Christopher Brown of Blackshear, his paternal grandparents, Donald Brown of Waycross, Joyce Lovett of Blackshear, his maternal grandparents, Matrice Kemper of Tampa, J.B. Reid of Alabama, his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolf and Blanche Brown of Waycross, his uncle and aunts, Greg and Lynn Brown of Screven, Debra and Mike Gatlin of Tallahassee, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.
