Andrea Amador died Aug. 11, 2004 in Hollister at the William and Inez Mabie Skilled Nursing Facility. She was 88. She was born in Michoacan, Mexico and came to Hollister from Texas over 60 years ago. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Teamsters Local 890. She worked for many years for San Benito Foods and became a U.S. Citizen in 1997 in a ceremony held in San Jose. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Amador who died in 1982 and is survived by her children, Isaiah Amador and his wife, Mary of Salinas, Frank Amador of Salinas, Louisa Correa of Hollister and Benita Mendoza of Santa Clara. Her son, Pete Amador died in 1938. She also is survived by her two sisters, Carmen Garza and Susie Garcia both of Hollister. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Services have been held. Interment and graveside services followed the Mass at Calvary Cemetery.
