She was the paternal grandchild of William B. Pool & Alcey/Ailey Jones of Wake County; and the maternal grandchild of Green Jones & Laney Tull of Lenoir County, NC.
Her father, Calvin Pool, had married (1st) Catherine Green about 1851 and by her had 5 known children. He married (2nd) Sally Mariah Smith about 1846 and had 1 known son. He married (3rd), Elizabeth Margaret "Bettie" Jones in 1863, and Addie was the offspring of this union.
Addie was 17 when she married 27-year old farmer, Evered Marcus Ferrell of Marks Creek, Wake Co, on November 23, 1887.
The couple farmed in the Auburn-Garner area and would become parents to two known children: Ina Luta (1888) and Ethel Lois (1890).
Evered died young in 1890, about 6 months after the birth of their second child. He was only 29 years old. Addie never remarried and survived him by 52 years, passing in 1942, just two months shy of her 72nd birthday.
