Lorraine A. Bailey, 67, of Ragley, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in the comfort of her home. Mrs. Bailey was born and raised and lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She lived the past 12 years in Ragley. She retired as a postal carrier after 33 years with the U.S. Postal Service. Mrs. Bailey enjoyed fishing in her younger years. She also enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. She will be most remembered for her beautiful blue eyes, bright smile and her sense of humor. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of eighteen years, Collin H. Bailey of Ragley; one daughter, Debra Dartez and husband Darrell of Ragley; two grandchildren, Andrea Dartez and Bruce Dartez and husband Krystal, all of Ragley; three great- grandchildren, Devin Reeves, Bryson and Kinley Dartez; two brothers, Charles Arville and wife Cora Marie of Lake Charles and James Arville and wife Shirley of Bundick Lake. She also leaves her extended family of two step- sons; two step- daughters and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Arville and Agnes Oliver and a sister, Lois Materne. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 4, 2009 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Steve Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Sallier Cemetery. Visitation Friday will be from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and will continue from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
