Mr. Charles Edward (Bill) Bertling, 72, of New Ulm, passed away Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009.
Charles was born in Gonzales, Texas on April 21, 1936, the son of the late George and Ora (Needham) Bertling. He married Dorothy Richter on May 28, 1960 at St. John's Lutheran Church, New Ulm. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joyce Bertling; brother, Melvin Bertling; brother in law, Glenn Klump.
He is survived by his wife,Dorothy Daughter Cindy Polasek and husband Douglas of New Ulm, TX; Son Darrel Bertling and wife Janie of New Ulm, TX; Sister Margie Wendt and husband D.G. of Bellville,TX;Sister Jane Klump of Columbus,TX; Brother Lewis Bertling and wife Ruby of Fayetteville,TX; Half Brother Jackie Bertling.He is also survived by Grandchildren, Jessica Polasek, and Justin Polasek.
