29-year old Marine Corps Major D. F. Givens was one of six naval aviators of one flight killed when his F9F Panther jet slammed into a fog-covered mountain near Airfield K-3 (Pohang), South Korea.

Major Givens was survived by his wife Vivian; sons David and Donald; daughter Joan, and mother Marion, all of Attleboro, Mass.; and brothers H. Roger and Malcom E. Givens.
