Goldie L. Beals, 84, of Chillicothe, formerly of Neoga, passed away at 7:30am Friday, March 27, 2009, at Proctor Hospital, Peoria. Funeral services will be at 11am Tuesday at Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home, Neoga, with Leslie White of Chicago officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Janesville Cemetery.

Goldie was born March 4, 1925, in Cumberland County, the daughter of John and Reva (Williams) Warner. She married Clifford C. Beals April 27, 1946, in Toledo and he passed away Dec. 26, 1990.

Goldie was a retired cafeteria employee with Neoga School District and was employed in the cafeteria department at Lake Land College, Mattoon, for 17 years. She enjoyed visiting with friends and working in her flower garden.

Mrs. Beals leaves one daughter, Sharon Mudd and husband Russell of Chillicothe; two grandsons, Russell Mudd Jr. and Robert Mudd of Chillicothe; and two granddaughters, Christine Mudd and Brianna Mudd, both of Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford Beals; daughter, Joyce Meagher; brothers, Wallace Warner and John William Warner; and sister, Elsie Rodgers.
