Mrs. Anhalt, nee Susanna Hartmann, was born Sept. 20, 1850 in South Carolina. As a young girl she came to Wisconsin with her parents and the family settled in the town of Schleswig. On Feb. 22, 1870 she was married to August Anhalt. The couple resided on a farm in the town of Eaton until 1912 and then moved to Kiel. Mr. Anhalt died in 1927. Two sons, Charles and William preceded their mother in death. Survivors are four sons, Peter of Plymouth, John of Chilton and Albert & Clemence of Kiel; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Steinbruecker of Sheboygan and Mrs. Peter Hansen of Fond du Lac; two brothers, Anton Hartmann of Oshkosh and William of Sheboygan;
38 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren
