George Rothrock was the eldest of the ten known children of Johann Georg (went by George) Rothrock (1721-1806) and Elizabeth Roemig Rothrock (1721(?)-1798).

George married Elizabeth Myers/Meyers (1751-1827) in c1770. They both lived their lives in Pennsylvania. George and Elizabeth were the parents of ten known children, eight girls and two boys. All ten children grew to maturity, married and had children. The children were:

1. Elizabeth Rothrock Myers Rush (c1771-c1817)
2. Susanna Rothrock Hanawalt (1773-1854)
3. Mary Rothrock Hanawalt (1773-1840)
4. Catherine Rothrock Kistler (1777-1843)
5. John Rothrock (1779-1860)
6. Asenath (Ascenith?) Meyers Rothrock Baum (1781-1870)
7. Christiana Rothrock Snyder (1784-1857)
8. Margaret Rothrock Keck (1786-1866)
9. George Rothrock (1789-1857)
10. Anna Rothrock Keever (1793-1864)

One of the children moved to Ohio and three to Indiana. The remaining six remained in Pennsylvania.
