BATESVILLE--Flake Little Buntin, 95, widow of Robert Rayburn Buntin, died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at her residence.
Services are Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is tonight from 6:00 - 8:00 at Wells Funeral Home. Rev. Reed Buntin Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Charleston. Wells Funeral Home has charge.
Buntin, born Dec. 7, 1909, in Enid, to the late John Lofton and the late Lou Zera Dare Little, was a retired nurse and also worked for Dr. Deck Stone. She was a member of First Baptist Church and an active member of the Women's Missionary Union.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Joseph Michael Buntin and one great-grandson Robert Andrew Buntin.
Survivors include one daughter Jane Buntin Pierce of Nashville, Tenn.; three sons, William Reed Buntin and Jerry Lofton Buntin, both of Batesville and Joseph Ellery Buntin of Southaven; two sisters, Virginia Harris of Batesville and Louise Barnett of Hattiesburg; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
