Julia H. Swiatek
MERIDEN - Julia H. Swiatek, 81, of 332 Parker Ave. South, died Saturday at Meriden-Wallingford Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born in Meriden, July 15, 1903, a daughter of the late Joseph G. and Caroline J. Gura Swiatek, she had been a lifelong resident of Meriden, attended city schools and graduated from the Pequot Business School. She was employed by the state of Connecticut as a secretary for many years, retiring 19 years ago, and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church.
She is survived by three sisters, Mary Swiatek, and Victoria Swiatek, both of Meriden, and Sally Dancause of the Elmwood section of West Hartford; a brother, Paul Swiatek of Meriden; 12 nieces and nephews, and 22 grandnieces and grandnephews.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., and at 9 at St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
