From the Macon Telegraph Newspaper:
E.B. Carroll 60 years of age died yesterday
afternoon at 3 o'clock at his home,407 Walnut
Street, after an illness of only five days.
Pneumonia is given as the cause of his death.
Besides his widow he is survived by four
daughters, Mrs. Mary Frances Riddle, and Mrs. G.N. (Lula)
Taylor both of Savannah; Mrs. H.F. "Bessie" Carroll-Campbell of Birmingham, AL., Sons; James Carroll of Savannah., Mack and Arthur A. Carroll.

Mr. Carroll had resided in Macon thirty-two
years and had a host of friends throughout
the city who will be grieved to learn of his
death. He was a Confederate Veteran and a
member of R.A. Smith Camp (U.C.V.)..Original United Confederate Veteran's.

The funeral will be held this afternoon at 3
o'clock from the late residence, Rev. T.F.
Callaway, Pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church
officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar
Ridge

He was a son of Dr. Jesse B. Carroll and Mary Brewer, who were some of the First Families of Wilkinson County, Georgia.

The Original Carrell/Carroll Families were from Ireland. There are all Grandchildren of Daniel Carrell.
