MRS. GONTERMAN DIES AT HOME IN FORSYTH

Resident of That Community Since 1875---Due to Apoplexy

Mrs. Mary A. Gonterman died at her home in Forsyth at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning. She had been troubled with her heart for some time, but the direct cause of her death was apoplexy. Mrs. Gonterman was born in Troy, Ill., Sept. 17, 1838. She was married to John S. Gonterman at Troy Nov. 27, 1856. Mr. Gonterman died four years ago. In 1875 they moved to Forsyth and she had lived there ever since.

Mrs Gonterman was a woman of strong character. Her home was always guarded with the care that a true wife and mother can give. She was a member of the Rebekah lodge and was an active member of the Christian church of Oreana.

Besides many friends Mrs. Gonterman leaves to mourn her death five children, seventeen grandchildren and one great grandchild. The children are Mrs. Ada E. Shisler of Moweaqua; George B. Gonterman of Forsyth, James C. Gonterman of Pass Robles, Cal., Mrs. Laura Schroll of Forsyth and Mrs. Bertha Fickes of Moweaqua. Two children, Emma and Edward Gonterman, died several years ago.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence in Forsyth. Interment will be in Boiling Springs cemetery.
