FORT WORTH - Elsie Allmon, 77, a retired bookkeeper at the Coca Cola Bottling Company, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 26, 2009. Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park. Elsie Allmon was born April 22, 1931, in Marshall, to Richard F. Sharp and Stella Mae Wyatt Sharp. She attended local schools in Marshall and various business schools after graduating from Marshall High School in 1948. She was married to Albert D. Wood in 1959 who preceded her in death in September 1994, and married Wilburn C. "Sam" Allmon in 2004, who also preceded her in death Jan. 14, 2009. Elsie was a devout member of Castleberry Baptist Church, and her happy smile and servant's heart will be missed. Survivors are many extended family members and friends; numerous nieces and nephews; and a dearly loved and supportive church family.
