Beth Curtis Beckstead was born Saturday, October 27, 1917 in Aurora, Utah to Earl Jabez Curtis and Myrtle Sheba Jensen.

She married Kenneth Harrison Beckstead on November 3, 1944 in Evanston, Wyoming; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Kenneth preceded her in death on January 4, 1978.

Beth was a member of the DUP for many years. She was an active member of the LDS Church and especially enjoyed serving in the Primary and Relief Society. Beth's roses were her pride and joy.

She passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 of natural causes at the age of 91 years old. She resided at 652 East Locust Street (8890 South) in Sandy, Utah at the time of her death.

Beth left to cherish her memory her daughter, Sharon Stewart (Robert); daughter-in-law, Connie Tilson; grandchildren, Diane Humison (Ben), Colleen Humphrey (Terry), Robert Beckstead (Carol), Ilene Kelstrom (Curtis), Todd Stewart (Laurie), Jill Diemert (Tom), Brad Stewart (Lora); 15 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Garr Curtis, Paul Curtis (AnnaLou); brother-in-law, Robert Ricker; also survived by Gary Curtis, a special, caring nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Robert; sister, Madge Ricker; sister-in-law, Faye Curtis.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mount Jordan Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 8950 South 400 East in Sandy, Utah. Calling hours were held at the Church prior to the services on Saturday from 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
Beth was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Services at the Sandy City Cemetery in Sandy, Utah.
