RETIRED FARMER, EDWIN L. ANDERSON, DIES
He farmed at Laredo and Chillicothe.

Edwin Lewis Anderson, 88, died at his home, 903 Vine street, at 11:30 o'clock last night. He had been in failing health two months and in serious condition the last five weeks.

He was the son of Henry H. and Mary Ellen Stephens Anderson, and was born Dec. 20, 1868, at Laredo, Mo. He attended the Alpha school. He married Miss Hattie Tolson Dec. 18, 1893, at Laredo. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson farmed on a farm north of the Chillicothe hospital. The last nine years they had lived in town.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. J. D. Merrill, Liberal, Kan.; a sister, Mrs. Troy Rensch, Kirksville; a granddaughter, Mrs. John Bannister, and a great grandson, James Michael Bannister, both of El Paso, Tex.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home. The Rev. A. W. Duncan, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Edgewood cemetery.
