Services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11 a. m. by Dr. Elmer C. Lewis, in the George I Green Funeral Home Homestead Park, Munhall, where friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 pm for Mrs. Alta Whiteman, 75, of 390 Kaywood Drive, West Mifflin.

Mrs. Whiteman was born June 4, 1889, in West Virginia a daughter of the late John T. and Olive Dailey Tharp and was a member of the Squirrel Hill Christian Church.

Widow of Joseph D. Whiteman, she leaves daughters. Mrs. Gertrude Smith, Mrs. Edna Dailey, Mrs. Blanche Knight, Mrs. Evelyn Schmidt and Mrs. Helen Boross; sons, Walter and Howard H.; 23 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; sisters Mrs. Drusilla Kessler and Mrs. Mary Roady; and a brother John Tharp.
