Lifelong Seminole resident Anna Ruth Deatherage passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009 in Seminole at the age of 59. She was born on August 2, 1949 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Noel and ALmira Deatherage. She was a member of the Temple of Praise Church. Anna is survived by son, Brandon Deatherage of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, daughter, Kelly Deatherage of Seminole, three brothers, Dickie Deatherage of Wilburton, Oklahoma, Jimmy Deatherage of Seminole, Oklahoma and Willis Deatherage of McAlester, Oklahoma and sister, Deanie Anderson of Seminole, Oklahoma. She is also survived by grandchildren: Britton Metcalf, Elon Metcalf, Kelon Chandler, Jevon Chandler and Alisha Deatherage, Destiney Hill, Jordan Barnett, Mayci Chupco and Cade McCoy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Noel and ALmira Deatherage and two brothers, Johnny and Larry Deatherage. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Moppin officiating and assisted by Rev. Dorsey Nero and Terry Deatherage. Interment will follow the service at Little Cemetery, Little, Oklahoma. A wake service will be held Thursday, March 26, 6:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Serving as casket bearers will be: Paul Kennedy, Lee Rose, Don Rose, John Wood, Jamie Self and Mike Patton. Honorary casket bearers will be Johnny Medinghall, Kenneth Johnson, Kevon Chandler, Jr., Allan Hulbutta, Greg Chandler and Elon Metcalf.
