Mrs. Maud Betz, 74-years old, died at 3:55 o'clock Monday afternoon at her home in Zincville, Oklahoma. She had been ill for several years.
Born in Campbell Co., Kentucky, June 26, 1881, she moved to Zincville in 1917 from Sarcoxie, Mo.
Mrs. Betz operated a grocery store in Zincville for many years, until her illness forced her to retire. She was a member of the Holiness Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Irene Miller, Zincville; a half-brother, Alfred Phillips, Mo.; four half-sisters, Mrs. Eunice Sweeten and Mrs. Anna Lizzy Rice, both of Fulton, Mo.; Mrs. Annie Hudson of Columbia, Mo., and Mrs. Flossie Bowers, California; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Holiness Church in Zincville, with the Rev. G. E. Elswick officiating. Burial was in the G A R
cemetery under the direction of the Thomas Funeral Home
Pallbearers were Sam Davis, Jack King, Bruce Mangum, Earl Gonce, Dave Miller and Loyal Mills.

PICHER (Special) - Mrs. Maud Betz, 74, died Monday afternoon at her home in Zincville, two miles east of here, after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Betz operated a grocery store in Zincville for several years until ill health forced her retirement. She had been a Zincville resident for 39 years and belonged
to the Holiness church there.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Irene Miller, Zincville; a half-brother, Alfred Phillips, Fulton, Mo., and four half-sisters, Mrs. Eunice Sweeten, Fulton; Mrs.
Anna Lizzie Rice, Fulton; Mrs. Annie Hudson, Columbia, Mo., and Mrs. Flossie Bowers, who lives in California.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced
by the Thomas Funeral home, Picher.
