Richard Siner Collins until about [1900] was engaged in caring for the large estate of his father at Port Republic and Chestnut Neck, but for the last fifteen years he has been engaged in the lumber business, having a saw mill. He has served as tax collector, assessor, is a notary public, commissioner of deeds, and justice of the peace, and since Port Republic City was incorporated has been City Treasurer.
