Chance Darrell Brandt passed away Thursday, September 28, 2006 at his home in Alice. He was 17. Chance was born January 29, 1989 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Roland Wade and Denise Brandt. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, a senior at Alice High School and a member of the Coyote Football Team, #8. He was preceded in death by his father, Roland Wade Brandt in 1997. Chance will be remembered for his big smile and bright blue eyes. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle. His laugh could instantly brighten the room. He had a passion for the love of his life - Coyote football. Chance loved all of his friends and family deeply and he will be loved and missed by everyone.Survivors include his mother and step-father, Denise and Gerald O’Neill of Alice, Texas; his grandparents, Cecil and Gwen Brandt of Agua Dulce, Texas; two sisters, Carrie Brandt Benjamin and her husband, Trevor of Agua Dulce, Texas and Shanee Hailgood and her husband, Wylie of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Shane Brandt and his wife, Amanda of Alice, Texas and Tyler Brandt of Alice, Texas; one step sister, Chele O’Neill of Alice, Texas; one step brother, Jason O’Neill of Alice, Texas; four nieces, Miranda, Kelsey, Karlie, and Madison; and one nephew, Christopher.Visitation will be Saturday, September 30, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 1, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Holmgreen Mortuary.A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 2, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.Pallbearers will be: Trent Perkins, Robert Estringel, Holden Haggerton, Jonathan Guerra, Marco Caro, and Justin Guerrero.
